What's a RECroom anyway?

RECroom is a music production facility, located in Chester, NJ. We're more of a "project studio" than your typical recording studio, in both layout and direction, and can accommodate both individual and corporate needs.

Our specialties include: jingles, soundtracks, voice-overs and backgrounds for video. We also take on individual and combo demo projects.

We're MIDI/SMPTE based and run the latest versions of Voyetra - Digital Orchestrator Plus, Twelve Tone Systems - Cakewalk and Sonic Foundry - Sound Forge.

We also record multi-track direct to computer hard disk with Creamware's - tripleDAT - for those who need a total digital solution.

Our prices are competetive and our production turn-around is "on time".

Have you wondered what you're going to do with all those 1/4 " masters and 1/2 " work tapes you've got stashed away? What about those 45s and LPs that you don't have the masters for? RECroom can help you to continue to preserve those memories for years to come.

How about transferring them onto DAT or ADAT? Or, better yet, convert them to computer audio files or CDs! With todays audio technology it's a snap and you can even clean up unwanted background noises, pop and clicks, and add life back into your compositions. Some tech tips...

As in just about any other field, hardly a day goes by that your customers don't have a question about the workings of your equipment, how this does that and how you know what buttons and knobs to push when... So... I thought I'd start putting some of this great stuff up here so everybody can "have a slice". But, rather than re-writing the history of the music business, I thought I'd simple post links to those sites and articles that I've visited and found quite useful. I hope you do too!
